The rise of the ripoff complaint site has brought about the rise of scammers claiming to “protect” the complained about…..they’re sharks feeding on sharks, with the innocent sometimes caught in the frenzy.

Interestingly, these scammers are often the same guys who say they can “take down” a Ripoff Report report. The rise of the ripoff complaint site has brought about the rise of scammers claiming to “protect” the complained about…..they’re sharks feeding on sharks, with the innocent sometimes caught in the frenzy.

Ignorance is expensive and can be painful. More people need to read this article!

@Todd Mintz – It’s why the Nigerian money laundering emails still bring tons of money to the scammers, people don’t do their due diligence. My friend will do hers going forward.

As much as this sucks, I blame the client more than the scammer. When you pay out $1,750, be darned sure you know what you are getting and do due diligence on the provider.

This is an unfortunate but all too often common situation. I am amazed at how many smart business owners I talk to who are paying for inclusion in some bogus directory I never heard of. Go figure.

Sigh…. isn’t this the pits? It’s so frustrating to hear about these companies and the scams they’re pulling off on unknowing business owners (who, frankly, also need to be more vigilant about investigating who they’re hiring).
